The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers, Hon. Felix Obuah said that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi gave a total sum of N1.3bn to the opposition All Progressives Congress, (APC), to support the party in the Anambra State gubernatorial election.
Hon. Obuah who made this known on Sunday at the inauguration of LGA and Ward officers of the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) at Eberi Omuma, in the Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State.
His words, “Instead of using our money for development, Amaechi is spending our resources unnecessary”
Hon. Obuah assured the people of Omuma that no amount of opposition would stop President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from recontesting the 2015 presidential election.
The PDP chairman enjoined the people to back President Jonathan for another term in office which he expressed optimism that Jonathan’s return to Aso Rock would speed up development in the country. ###
