Keshi’s 30 Man World Cup List Braide, Others Comments

KESHI STEPHEN COACHThe 30 Man Keshi Brazil 2014 World Cup list has generated comments from various quarters amongst the stakeholders of football in the Country.

In Port Harcourt, Mr. Joe Johnson, the Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club Rivers State chapter and General Manager of Dolphins football club of Port Harcourt lamented the absent of Ike Uche in the list.

According to him, may be Keshi has a good alternative to Ike Uche, if not his absent in the world cup list, describing it as a minus on the part of Nigeria in the World Cup.

However, he said he will be in Brazil with other members of Nigeria football supporters club to support the Super Eagles.

Speaking on the injured players that made the list, he said, the doctors of the team will have to do justice to that as Nigerians are counting on their sincerity to make the country proud.

For Professor Solomon Braide, a one time president of Goldashe International Football Club of Port Harcourt, said, Keshi knows what he is doing; the mention of a particular player (Ike Uche) not being in the team list does not make Keshi a bad coach.

He said every country has its particular problem, pointing out that there are players expected by soccer followers to be part of other countries world cup list but their names are not included.

He urged Nigerians to leave Keshi alone to do his work, noted that afterall if he fails he has fail and he will be sacked.

Reacting on the injured players making the list, he said Keshi understands what he is doing and he should be left alone to accomplish his job at the world cup.

On his part, Barr. Karibi George, the Public Relation Office of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rivers State chapter said the list by Keshi is a fair reflection of the current form of the Nigerian Professional Footballers”.

An anonymous who called through the mobile line of the sport Editor of The Newswriter, simply said the list is not a balance one.

According to him, he has spoken with the Sport Minister and registered his opinion about the list. ###
