Senator Odili Throws Weight Behind A Riverine Governor Come 2015

WALSON-JACKA prominent elderstatesman, a business mogul and one of the founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State, Senator Victor Odili has expressed his willingness to support a riverine candidate in the 2015 general election.

Senator Odili made his position known when Barr. Nimi Walson-Jack, a frontline and a gubernatorial aspirant in Rivers State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) visited the elderstatesman over the weekend.

The Onwa expressed support for the rotation of the office of Governor between the upland and riverine areas of the state, saying that the election of a riverine governor in 2015 would be the right thing to do.

Chief Odili who is also a shopping magnate stated that Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack aspiration to the highest office in the state is very encouraging.

He said Hon. Walson-Jack has the credentials capacity and temperance for public service, as he has observed him in his legal and public service career.

The Igwe aka of Ndoni, popularly known as Onwa has thrown his weight behind the gubernatorial aspiration of Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack.

The PDP Chieftain who also received the Rivers Converge a support group of Barr. Nimi Walson-Jack in Ndoni, the palace, of Onwa at Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government of Rivers State to condole him over the death of his elder brother Chief Michael Odili.

Responding, Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack thanked Senator Victor Odili for his overwhelming support for him and promised that he will not betray the trust given to him and when elected, he would do all within his power to uphold the confidence, reposed in him by the good people of Rivers State.

He called on all to remain steadfast in their support for the election of President Goodluck Jonathan for the second tenure in office come 2015. ###
