The paramount ruler, Nye-we Ali Isiokpo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Blessing Wagor JP Wagidi XL said Ikwerre Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers will continue to pledge loyalty and support for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the governor of Rivers State and extend their hand of fellowship to his anointed governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside to enable him win the forthcoming general elections.
King Wagor made the remark while in a chat with journalists at Isiokpo, headquarters of Ikwerre Local government Area of Rivers State during the All Progressives Congress Party rally in the area.
King Wagor who is also the chairman of Ikwerre Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, while commending Gov. Amaechi for elevating the traditional stools of some chiefs in Ikwerre to a first and second class status in their communities, noted that the best way to thank him for the gesture was to ensure massive support for Dr. Dakuku.
According to him, wherever Amaechi go, we will go, if he succeeds, we will succeed, if he fail we will fail with him.
The royal father who noted that Governor Amaechi has performed wonderfully in all sectors of human endeavours across the 23 LGAs of Rivers State in areas of education, health, infrastructure, human capital development, security among others urged the APC governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku to consolidate on Amaechi’s achievements as to further develop Rivers State.
The Nye-we Ali Isiokpo, however said his palace is opened to political parties who wish to visit him since he is a traditional ruler.
Meanwhile an APC chieftain in Ikwerre Local Government, Hon. Soro Amadi, the APC leader of Ward 7 Omademe who spoke with journalists shortly after the APC rally in Isiokpo described the APC rally as a huge success, pointing out that the people of Ikwerre Love Gov. Amaechi due to his laudable projects executed within seven and half years of his administration.
The ward leader who noted that Gov. Amaechi has assisted many Ikwerre sons and daughters to be in their present position today including Barr. Nyesom Wike, the former Minister of State for Education, Austin Opara, former House of Representatives deputy speaker among others pointed out that they are fighting Amaechi because of greed assuring that APC will sweep the polls in all the elective positions in the state and nation in the forthcoming elections. ###
