Rivers: Police Arrest Suspects With Multiple Voters Cards

The police in Rivers State have arrested one Chikordi Emeh for being in possession of over 64 Permanent Voters Cards.

He was arrested around Elele Alimini community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A senior police officer told newsmen that Emeh was apprehended during a stop and search operation carried out by a patrol team mounting check-point between Elele (Emohua) and Alimini.

The officer said the suspect hid the PVCs in his Laptop bag and had refused to prove himself as an adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

However, there are insinuations that the culprit must have bought the cards from the owners.

He has refused to disclose the political party he is working for.
