The tough talking foreign coach of the Congo national football team Claude Le Roy has predicted that if there is any African country to lift the world cup it would be Nigeria.
Coach Roy made this remark while chatting with sports journalists shortly after the game between the Nigeria u-23 dream team 6 and Congolese u-23 dream team on the 19th of July, 2015 at Adokiye Amiesiemaka stadium, where his side lose to Nigeria2- 1.
The charismatic coach said the Nigerian team is superb and have a lot of talented footballers of the future, to give Nigeria everlasting football history.
“Nigeria is a blessed country when you come to football, if there is any African country to win the world cup, it will be Nigeria first”.
He said, the players of Nigeria are modest after being on the technical bench at the Congolese in that match particular, the lads under coach Samson Siasia control. They have good football control sense, dribbling skill, there is no country in the world that Nigerian players are not found, Nigeria seems like world supplier of football players.
According to coach Roy, Nigeria needs management and a purposeful football policy to be place on as it priority to turn out more great players like Samson Siasia.
Speaking to The Newswriter at Port Harcourt, the frank talking Congolese tactician opined that it would not be long Nigeria will lift the world cup. If Nigeria could only remain focused and plan ahead of time.
“Nigeria is a great country of football talents, that needs serious planning right ahead of time and it will not be long the world cup will be lifted by Nigeria. I see Nigeria as the first Africa country that will lift the world cup before any other African country, if the country’s technical department or committee of Nigeria Football Federation would put in place the right personnels and plan in place”.
