The Ijaw ethnic nationality has come hard on Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo for his stand in the struggle for the actualization of the Biafra Republic.
The Ijaw nation has condemned the activities of Asari-Dokubo and his frequent romance with the progenitors and the agitators of the Biafra struggle.
Speaking to this publication on Monday the President of Kirimani, a prominent group in the Ijaw ethnic nationality, Prince Franklin Amachree described Alhaji Asari as a big threat to the Ijaw nation, adding that his (Asari) present activities and utterances are against the Kaima’s declaration, which against the disintegration of the Nigerian society.
Prince Amachree maintained that his association will disclaim and disown Asari as a member of Kirimani.
He said it is high time Asari-Dokubo should be cautioned, noting that “Asari wants to cause problems to the Rivers people and the Nigerian Society. His support for the Biafran Republic is a threat to our existence as Ijaws. Therefore the Ijaw leaders should caution and call him to order.”
Prince Amachree alleged that Asari Dokubo is being funded by some influential persons and appealed to the federal government as a matter of urgent to unmask his alleged sponsors.
Prince Amachree who is also the president of Rivers State Ethnic Organization expressed deep concern over the way and manner in which the Biafra agitators protested and destroyed properties in Rivers State. According to him his association will not hesitate to institute legal suit against the Biafra agitators.
He had earlier commended High Chief Ateke Tom for his boldness to speak against Biafra. Prince Amachree who described Ateke as a true Rivers man, stated categorically that Rivers State cannot be part of the so called Biafra Republic.
He warned Igbos residing in Rivers State not to do anything that will cause trouble in the state, adding that his group will stand to resist any Igbo man that will protest in the state in the name of Biafra.
Prince Amachree pleaded with Governor Nyesom Wike to call Igbos to order, if not his group will not take their activities kindly or treat them with kids glove.
“If they (Igbos) come out to protest, he will also come out and face them, we will chase them out of Rivers State.
“We are fully prepared for them. We are ready and we will chase Biafra out of Rivers State, Prince Amachree said.
The Ijaw activist lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for his unrelenting crusade against corruption in the country.###
