Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abua/Odual LGA have commended the members of the party for their peaceful disposition during the March 19, 2016 re-run elections in the area.
The party chiefs noted that despite the military invasion, the people still came out to exercise their franchise and voted against the candidates who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Abua/Odual PDP chieftains described the conduct of the re-run as peaceful and smooth.
In his speech, the chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Abolga, Hon. Oye Igenewari thanked members of the people for voting massively for PDP in the March 19, polls.
He felicitated with the winner of the Abua/Odual Federal Constituency, Hon. Mrs. Betty Apiaffi stating that her electoral victory gave hope to the masses.
He expressed optimism that Gov. Nyesom Wike will perform well in the next four (4) years and called on the people to rally round the governor to succeed. ###
