Withdraw Prof. TJT Princewill’s Recognition Now, Amaechi Told

The chieftaincy tussle amongst contestants for the reverred position of the Amanayabo of Kalabari kingdom has taken a frightening dimension, with Elder (Chief) MacDonald O. Abbi one of the contestants to the throne asking Gov. Chibuike Amaechi to withdraw  the recognition of Prof. TJT Princewill as Amanayabo of Kalabari kingdom with immediate effect.

This was contained in a press statement issued and signed by the said MacDonald Abbi in Port Harcourt recently.

Chief Abbi said he hinged his call on the recent Supreme Court judgment on the matter, which he said ousted the current Kalabari king.

The statement which narrated how Prof. Princewill claimed the Amanayabo stool in flagrant disobedience to earlier Court of Appeal ruling of 19th December, 2005 expressed happiness that the Supreme Court in its ruling on 25th February, 2013 has upheld the previous judgment on the matter.

He therefore appealed to Prof. TJT Princewill to step down honorably; emphasizing that Amanayabo of Kalabari stool is currently vacant.

He appealed to all stakeholders and indeed the good people of Kalabari Kingdom to please remain claim and law abiding. ###
