Amaechi Lauded Over Planned Recruitment Of 2000 Workers

GOV. AMAECHI SPEECHThe Leadership of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), led by Comrade Austin Jonah, has lauded the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on what they described as his “labour friendly posture” in the state government.

Barr. Mohammed Bashman Adesina, the new secretary of ASCSN, Rivers chapter, said that the commendation to the governor was based on the recent announcement by the state government to recruit about 2000 new brains into the state civil service.

Adesina disclosed that the development was in no doubt timely in view of the prolonged hiatus on recruitment into the state civil service which according to him has created a wide generational gap and excess workload in the service.

He maintained that ASCSN, Rivers chapter through the leadership of Comrade Jonah had equally appreciated the state government’s pro-activeness and swift response to imperatively provide adequate security in the state secretariat complex with regards to the amount of security challenges confronting Nigerian State.

Barr. Adesina opined that ASCSN as a key stakeholder in the labour sector has been strategically positioned to intervene in government policies and programmes for mutual benefit of all stakeholders.   ##
