Rotary Club Commissions Projects At ACMGS

The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, R.I. District 9120 under the leadership of Golden President, Rtn. Frank Eni has recently commissioned a block of six toilets, water borne-hole with an over head tank and a generating set for Archdeacon Crowther Memorial Girls School, ACMGS Elelenwo, Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

In his address, Rtn. Eni said the event was to commission the project which was conceived during the 2012/2013 Rotary year by one of their past presidents and now Assistant Governor, Dr. Mrs. Georgina Ngeri-Nwagha.

Eni maintained that the dream of Mrs. Ngeri-Nwagha was not actualized until August 28th, 2014 when their District Governor, 2014/2015, HRM Noble Eshemitan through the maintenance culture exhibited by the school over the 2003/2004 Rotary year water project that was built in partnership with other clubs for the school will be replicated, through the oversight function of the school interact club he added.

The school principal, Mrs. Chinyere U. Ordu, wife of the Bishop, Diocese of Evo and Proprietor, Evo Diocesan Schools, Rt. Rev. Innocent U. Ordu, JP appreciated the Rotary Club, Port Harcourt, for given the school every reason to remain hygienic.

Her words: “This project which foundation laying was on the 28th August, 2014 is now ready for commissioning. We appreciate the speed with which this project was done, in keeping also with the promise which the president made on that day.

“It is on good record that the Rotary club has consistently been committed to the basic needs of humanity and our school has been a beneficiary. We look forward to more goodwill and pray that the good and faithful God shall bless you abundantly, Amen.

Other presentations were made at the event by Rtn. Diamond Ovuerayue, AG Zone 20, Assistant Governor Georgina Ngeri-Nwagha and Rtn. Ijeoma Pearl Okoro, District Governor 2015-16 of District 9140 Nigeria.

While the PTA chairman of ACMGS, Capt. Clement Ejiofor and the school’s senior prefect, Miss Olubunmi Daramola, lauded the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, District 9140 for its kind gesture and promised to make good use of the facilities provided for them. ###
