The Eastern Delta People’s Association (EDPA) has commended the elders and stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State for their wisdom in endorsing the candidature of Dr. Dakuku Peterside, a man of the riverine extraction, as their preferred governorship flagbearer.
Chairman of the EDPA Steering Committee, Deacon Lawrence F. Jumbo, made this commendation while reacting to the latest political development in the state, adding that the endorsement of Dr. Peterside is in recognition of the agitations for equity, justice and fairness in the political affairs of the state.
He also urged the delegates of APC in the state to ensure that Hon. Dakuku Peterside gets the party’s nomination tickets during the gubernatorial primaries.
In the same vein, Deacon L.F. Jumbo has called on the other political parties to field men and women of integrity from the Ijaw axis of Rivers State as their governorship flagbearers to consolidate the peaceful co-existence among different ethnic nationalities in the state.
