A very strong socio-political group known as the Niger Delta Peoples Collation (NDPC) over the weekend met with the nation former Minister for Information, Prof. Jerry Gana at his Abuja residence.
The group was led by its President/Director, Chief Comrade Sepiribo C. T. Briggs. Also in attendance were the executive officers of the association.
Speaking during the visit the President/Director of NDPC, Chief Briggs thanked Prof. Gana for giving them audience, adding that as a very formidable group, they would ensure that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan wins in all the states in the Niger Delta geo-political region.
Chief Comrade Briggs said that his group would carry out what he calls, “Operation Deliver Niger Delta States”, during the next month’s general election. He noted that NDPC would ensure that it delivers all candidates on the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike, the gubernatorial flagbearer of the Rivers State chapter of the party in the February 2015 election.
The NDPC boss commended Prof. Gana for his total support of President Jonathan, and further applauded him for his visionary leadership.
Responding Prof. Gana thanked the members of the NDPC for the visit and assured them of his support whenever the need arises.
Prof. Gana further lauded the group for standing behind Dr. Jonathan/Sambo and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming general election. ###
