The election petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the petition challenging the election of Ms. Goodhead Boma of Asari-Toru Federal Constituency filed by Dr. Dawari George.
The tribunal which upheld the elections of Goodhead of Asari-Toru and that of Ogba, Egbema, Ndoni Federal constituency held that the APC candidates were not qualify to contest the 2015 National Assembly election as they failed to give mandatory 21 days notice to INEC prior to their primaries in accordance with section 85 of the electoral act.
The tribunal maintained APC do not have candidates for the election hence lost their chance in the matter.###
