African Church: We Trekked 4 hours To Reach The Kidnappers Den– Freed Clergyman

Ven. J.B.J Lawson of St. Paul’s African Church, Port Harcourt who was recently freed from kidnappers alleged that they trekked 4 hours at the point of his abduction to the kidnappers hideout.

Ven. Lawson and another priest of the African Church, Diocese, Ven. Isobo Dokubo were penultimate Sunday abducted by six (6) unknown gunmen along the ever busy Emohua/Degema road, while returning from a church service in Buguma and Obuama communities respectively.

There was dancing, praise and worship at the St. Paul’s African church, IB Johnson as Ven. Lawson returned home from the kidnappers’ forest.

Ven. Johnson regained his freedom on Monday at about 6.30pm. The cleric was found at the same spot where he was abducted on the Emohua/Degema road.

Meanwhile Ven. Isobo Dokubo who was captured alongside with the freed Ven. Lawson is still in the hands of the captors at the time of filing this report. ###
