On The Sudden Death Of President Buahri’s Junior Minister

On Sunday March 6, 2016, the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi died in a ghastly motor accident. In the said fatal auto crash the minister’s wife and son also died.
The accident was said to have occurred along Kaduna-Abuja expressway after the tyre of their car burst in motion. James Ocholi, SAN was an erudite legal luminary, administrator and seasoned politician. The minister died at a critical time of the political history of Nigeria, when his contributions in the ongoing national rebirth and the realization of the change Mantra were needed.
His death is indeed a colossal loss to the entire Nigerian society, because James Ocholi was a key component of President Muhammadu Buhari’s change agenda.
We commiserate with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buahri, the government of Kogi State and the Ocholi’s family on the death of James Ocholi and prayed God Almighty to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
James Ocholi in the year 2011 was a governorship aspirant in Kogi State on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC. He sought the All Progressive Congress, APC’s gubernatorial ticket at the party’s primary election, but lost to late Abubakar Audu. He was appointed the Minister of State for Labour and productivity in 2015. ###
