Ministry Embarks On Demolition At Education Bus Stop

The Rivers State Ministry of Urban Renewal and Development has embarked on demolition exercise at the Mile one, Education bus stop near the Conoil filling station.
Led by the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Tammy Danagogo, the staff of the ministry pull down all illegal structures put together by the petty traders at the place.
Speaking to The Newswriter, the commissioner said it was not a new exercise but an on-going one since the Amaechi’s administration came on board.
He said the ministry will not relent n keeping the City of PortHarcourt clean as it ought to be.
It would be recalled that the ministry had given an earlier warning notice to all those involved in erecting illegal structures for business at the Mile One axis, from the Tide office to Education Bus stop to desist from such, but the traders had refused to comply, forcing the ministry to embark on the demolition exercise.
The Commissioner also disclosed that the ministry is alive to its responsibilities of keeping Port Harcourt city as decent as possible where residents would be proud to call their city.
