The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola has stated that Lagos State is not so desperate to host and win the 18th National Sports Festival which officially commenced on Tuesday, 27th November, 2012.
The governor asked participating states to be fair in their judgement while competiting as the aim of the competition is to fish out hidden budding talents for the country for further international sporting competitions.
So far, Lagos State, the host state is not leaving any stone unturned as a befitting colourful opening ceremony was enjoyed by all participating states at the opening ceremony.
To this end, the governor has set up observation committee to oversee and observe the totality of the game while the competition lasts. ###
