Over One Million Rivers Children Have No Access To Better Education – Wike

Wike blasts Amaechi for allegedly neglecting rural schools. Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, MrNyesomWike, has berated governor of the state, MrRotimi Amaechi, for allegedly abandoning schools in rural communities of the state.

Wike, who spoke in Isiokpo, Tuesday, after an inspection visit to model secondary school in the town, said that Amaechi’s deliberate abandonment of education in rural areas has denied over one million Rivers children access to quality education.

He said the dilapidated nature of Model Secondary School in Isiokpo, Governor Amaechi’s local government area, brings to the fore the governor’s deceit and extreme corruption.

Wike said: “I cried as I moved round the classes of the Model Secondary School in Isiokpo. If Amaechi can do this to his people, you can imagine the damage he has done to education in Rivers State.”
