PH: Oganuruhu Obio/Akpor Nu Rebisi Association Inaugurates Ward Exco

A socio-cultural organisation of the Ikwerre extraction in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor LGA known as Oganuruhu Obio/Akpor Nu Rebisi Association has inaugurated her officers for the 17 wards of Obio/Akpor LGA.

On a close watch this weekly monitored the association train in wards 4 and 11 of Port Harcourt local government.

At the inauguration, the chairmanship positions went to Ndidi Orlu and Azubuike Amadi Opevaeli of Ward 4 and 11 respectively.

The two chairmen in their different speeches thanked the people for finding them worthy to lead, and given the chance to serve, they promised to work with their members to take the association to greater height as they will not disappoint their choice as chosen vessels to deliver.

Speaking to newsmen the president of the association, Chief (Barr.) Anuegbum Promise Onuoha cleared the air on mistaking the organization for a political party  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “it is not a political party but a socio-cultural organization duly registered long ago we have been working for the unity of our people because if there is unity there will be progress in the land”.

Onuoha said, because they live by the truth and believe in God people are added to them everyday and asked the people to remain committed to the ideology of the organization adding that in time of election they should monitor their votes making sure that their vote are counted.

He charged the newly inaugurated executive not to rest until they preach the ideology of the association to the people of their respective wards. ###
